I am an environmental geographer and Social Scientist in the People, Policy, and Planning team at the Cawthron Institute, based in Nelson/Whakatū, New Zealand.

I am interested in theoretical and applied questions of environmental governance, such as: how should we organise our institutions for ecological sustainability, how can environmental science assist with this reorganisation, and how can social research  inform how we go about this?

I completed my PhD in Geography (2019) at the University of British Columbia, which examined the politics of water policy implementation in Aotearoa New Zealand, 2011-2018.

I am currently an associate editor for the journal People and Nature.
